How UC Irvine Women’s Soccer Hit Attendance Records to Open their Season
This week, we take a look at how the UC Irvine Women’s Soccer recently used FEVO’s social sharing capabilities to sell out the first game in team history.
The Challenge
Fresh off a 2021 Mountain West Conference Championship, UC Irvine Women’s Soccer wanted to keep their success going and start the 2022 campaign off with a bang. They aimed to sell out Anteater Stadium (fantastic choice of mascot animal BTW) to carry over the momentum from the previous season and keep fans excited and players hungry with a great gameday atmosphere.
The Solution
The team utilized FEVO’s Social CheckoutTM for its social link sharing and intuitive group ticketing capabilities. They tapped local clubs and groups in the area to help spread the word and invite members, selling 60% of the 2,500-capacity stadium through FEVO. The ease with which fans were able to invite friends led the Anteaters to their first ever sellout, and the team kicked off the season with a packed house.
We had a breakthrough and sold out of our women’s soccer event this month. We reached a brand-new attendance record and used FEVO’s social links to share this offer to multiple groups and clubs in the area. With a solid sales team and FEVO helping us reach our goals, we did it!
